Privacy Policy

1. File processing

PDF files you select are processed entirely in your browser. We do not upload, store, or transmit your document content to our servers for any core tool operation (merge, split, compress, rotate, convert, unlock, OCR, sign, etc.). Files are held in memory only for the duration of the operation and are never persisted server-side.

2. Analytics and advertising

Subject to your consent, we use the following third-party services:

  • Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics — aggregate usage analytics. Data is processed by Google LLC under their privacy policy.
  • Google AdSense / ad networks — ad delivery and frequency capping. May use cookies and device identifiers for personalization where consented.
  • Vercel Analytics — anonymous page-level performance metrics. No personal data is collected.

You can withdraw or update consent at any time via Privacy preferences in the site footer.

3. Storage and preferences

We store the following in your browser:

  • language cookie — your selected UI language. Expires in 1 year.
  • Consent preferences — stored in localStorage. No expiry; cleared when you reset preferences.
  • Banner dismissal cookie — remembers whether you dismissed the promotional banner.

4. Data retention

We do not retain any personal data on our servers. Browser storage (cookies, localStorage) is under your control and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings. Aggregate analytics data retained by Google is subject to Google's own data retention policies (typically 14 months for GA4 user data).

5. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access personal data we hold about you
  • Rectify inaccurate data
  • Erase your data (right to be forgotten)
  • Object to or restrict processing
  • Data portability
  • Opt out of sale/sharing — see Do Not Sell or Share

Because we process no files server-side and collect no account data, most requests can be fulfilled by clearing your browser storage. For any residual data held by analytics providers, contact us and we will submit deletion requests on your behalf.
