What data may be shared

PDFMerger.io does not sell personal data. However, when advertising is enabled, the following categories of data may be shared with advertising partners for personalization purposes:

• Browser type and device identifiers
• IP address (approximate location)
• Pages visited and interaction events
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)

We do not share file contents, names, or any data derived from your PDFs.

How to opt out

Set Advertising to Off in the Privacy preferences panel in the site footer. This disables advertising cookies and stops data sharing for ad personalization on this browser and device.

We also honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends a GPC opt-out header, advertising will be disabled automatically.

Other browsers and devices

Consent preferences are stored locally in your browser. If you use another browser, device, or clear your local storage, you may need to set your preferences again.
